OUR
PROGRAMS
Please find below the complete range of services that we provide to ensure that your child receives the best possible care.
Infant & Toddler Program
Infants (0 – 18 months) childcare takes place in a space that is adequate for up to seven (7) children, petitioning with a half wall in the same room as the toddlers.
Toddlers (19 months – 35 months) childcare takes place in a space that is adequate for eleven (11) children with easy access to outdoor play areas.
The emphasis in the infant/toddler program is on meeting their needs to exercise their independence safely and appropriately, which results from their increasing physical, language and cognitive abilities. Needs to explore and understand themselves and their world are encouraged through make-believe play and by the inclusion of creative experiences including art, music, and stories. As children begin to play and interact together, staff provide models and verbal suggestions to help them do so in appropriate ways, and begin to involve children in planning their experiences.
Pre-School Program
Pre-school (3 years – 6 years; end of kindergarten) childcare takes place in their own room that is adequate for sixteen (16) children with easy access to outdoor play areas.
The emphasis in this room is focused on the children’s needs to further refine their social skills, take more initiative in their actions and interactions, and build and maintain positive and healthy self-esteem. As a result, children are provided with many opportunities to make decisions and to become engaged in play and other projects which interest them.
Out-of-School Care Program
Our Out-of-School Care Program is conveniently located within the Vulcan Prairieview Elementary School. We provide before and after-school care to students from grades K-6. We also offer care during extended breaks and over the summer.
